Psalm 122
A song of ascents means this psalm was recited or sung while going up to the temple in Jerusalem.  It is a layered-prophecy psalm, fulfilled in David's time and yet to be fulfilled in our time.  It is a view into the millennial reign of Jesus.

"That is where the tribes go up,"
The 12 tribes of Israel will live in the land of Israel and go up to Jerusalem during the millennium.

"There the thrones of judgment stand, the thrones of the house of David."
Jesus told His disciples that they would sin on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel during the millennium.
Mat 19:28
And Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you that you who have followed Me, in the regeneration, when the Son of Man shall sit in the throne of His glory, you also shall sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:”
David prayed for this peace. There was a brief time of peace during his son Solomon’s reign, but the only time there will be peace in the earthly Jerusalem will be during the Millennium. Then of course later there will be a New Jerusalem with perfect peace.

“Peace be within you.” This is available to all who have the indwellment of the Holy Spirit. “Peace” according to Hebrew Word Pictures is “to destroy the authority that causes chaos”. In other words, to have peace within ourselves, we must destroy any and all authority that Satan may have in our lives.

Psalm 124
Sometimes God allows us to come up to the brink of destruction so that He may display His power in our deliverance.
"Our help is in the name of the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth."There is never a problem too big for God to solve!

Psalm 133
In any fellowship of Believers in Jesus, there may not always be oneness of view but there can always be oneness of spirit in Him.
“How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!”
Living in unity with brothers and sisters in Christ does not mean we will all agree on everything but we have unity in purpose, unity in Jesus Christ.
This psalm contains perfect verses to use for anointing a person in preparation of a special service for the Lord.

Psalm 134
"Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the Lord."
Some people worship and praise Him by lifting up hands.  Others worship and praise Him quietly and privately.  But as was pointed out in Psalm 133, we may not be in agreement in everything, but we have unity in purpose and direction.

Psalm 135
The Lord is great indeed, who knows no limits of time or place, who works in all the universe as He pleases. His name should endure forever in the constant and everlasting praises of His people.

This psalm contains a description of idols. Those who worship idols are just like the idols themselves…blind, deaf, and lifeless, and their final destruction is eternal death.

Those who worship the Lord then must be just the opposite…eyes open and seeing, ears listening and understanding, and with an abundant life that never ends. How wonderful is that!
