Psalm 46 sounds as if David has been given a keyhole view of the Day of the Lord, the wrath of God.

Ps 55:17
Evening, morning and noon I cry out in distress, and he hears my voice.

“Evening, morning, noon…”
Sounds like its out of order, but it isn’t. David’s day started at 6:00 PM, so first came evening, then morning, and then noon. In the story of creation in Genesis, “There was evening and morning…”
